LMN IT Board is the new name for the organisation previously know as London Metropolitan Network (LMN). We provide support, training and run events for those involved in information technology in further and higher education in the London area.
IT Directors Forum
An IT Directors Forum was held on the afternoon of Thursday 7th February 2013 at Chandos House. The event included a presentation on the legal aspects of IT by partners from Farrer & Co., and there was a talk and discussion entitled “Life after JANET what next for LMN”. Training
The LMN IT Board is committed to provide training opportunities to LMN members. In September a course on IPv6 was run in partnership with JANET(UK). Within twenty four hours of the course being announced it was fully subscribed. Due to its popularity and success it will be repeated.
LMN sponsored internship
The LMN IT Board proposes to sponsor an internship in a member institution. LMN will fund a proportion of the intern’s salary. Member institutions will be invited to bid for funds. Further information and details of how to submit your bid will be available soon.
