South East Regional Network Operators Workshop
Thursday 11th February 2010
London Metropolitan Network (LMN), the Learning Network South East (LeNSE), and Kent MAN hosted their first joint event.
The event was a workshop focused on areas of interest to the Further Education (FE) and Adult Community Learning (ACL) communities in the region we support.
Topics covered included web and email filtering, building provisioning and setting up a data centre from scratch, and implementation of a new IP telephony system.
The focus was on sharing practical experience from sites across the South East region.
The meeting took place at Chandos House. The event is sponsored by LNM, LeNSE, and Kent MAN, so there was no cost to attend for members of these communities. The lunch was sponsored by LMN’s 5 year partner MessageLabs
While the focus of the event was on topics of interest to FE and ACL, HEI members were also welcome to attend.
